Michael Bolger - Owner and Head Coach

Initially practicing as a performance coach Michael felt that something was missing from his coaching and soon realised that this was the psychological side of training. Michael went back to college and qualified with a Masters Degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology and ended this by presenting his thesis at BASES International Conference and having the same published in The Sports Scientist Journal. It is believed that this has given his work with athletes a completely different perspective.

Michael is a performance coach qualified as a strength and conditioning coach, Olympic weightlifting coach and sports masseuse and he is currently studying to further his knowledge in the areas of physical therapy and sports nutrition.

Having competed in a number of different sports from gymnastics to power lifting to rugby Michael has had the opportunity to expand his knowledge in a practical way on what it takes to be successful and has had the opportunity to implement his philosophies with individuals from a variety of sports and everyday life.

Michael's specialist areas of work include:

"My mission is to train everyone to be their individual best, not everyone is an athlete however everyone can benefit from training to be more athletic regardless of age, size or ability"

Katie Fitzhenry

Katie Fitzhenry completed her plc in Leisure Management in Enniscorthy VEC and then went on to achieve her BA in Recreation Management from Waterford Institute of Technology. Along with this Katie "walks the walk", at Mount Olympus Performance we are often heard to be speaking about coaches giving advice on subjects they have no experience in, this is not Katie!

Throughout her sporting past to name only a few achievements she has represented Wexford at underage hurling, become an integral part of St. johns Volunteers (Gaelic football) and of course made her full debut for Leister Ladies Rugby last season (2010 - 2011). This experience is immensely valuable to both Katie and Mount Olympus Performance as it allows Katie to expand her knowledge on aspects such as training, game preparation and coaching philosophies.

Of course Katie also puts in her time in the gym trying new training regimes and exercises to ensure her clients get the best experience possible and that she continues to expand her knowledge base.

This young coach has a love for fitness and sport and has a big future in the industry!!
